From a shy baby fox to toads wearing crowns, the felted miniatures designed by Simon Brown and Katie Corrigan are adorable and whimsical interpretations of woodland creatures. The creative duo based in Northumbria, UK, transform thick strands of wool into wild animals that can be found perched on a snowy branch or crawling on a mouse through the grass-like hairs of a wooden brush. Brown tells Colossal that he plans to incorporate more found objects into the new sculptures, which are increasingly illustrative in style, and is also working on developing automata to add liveliness to the realistic characters. See more of the pair’s process at instagram.
