Lok Virsa will hold a miniature art exhibition ‘Ibtida’


The National Institute of Popular and Traditional Heritage (NIFTH)/Lok Virsa started the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) professions in collaborationoration with the National Commission for Vocational and Technical Training (NAVTTC) under the supervision of the Prime MinisterSkills for all“Hunarmand Pakistan Program.

In this respect, at the end of the Traditional Creative Arts profession (Miniature Painting) taught by Ms Raana ZehraNIFTH-Lok Virsa will hold an exhibition titled Ibtida’ at the NIFTH Art Gallery, starting from December 23, 2021 and continue until January 4, 2022. The exhibition will present the Works of art (miniature paintings) of the traineess.

Instructor Ms Raana Zehra is an alumnus of the former National College of Arts (NCA), now upgraded to National University of Arts in Lahore. She obtained her BFA (Hons) miniature painting diploma in 1993. She has been a faculty member of Hunerkada School of Art, Islamabad, Fatima Jinnah Women University Rawalpindi, and a visiting faculty at NCA, Lahore. His inspiring miniature works have been exhibited in the world in prestigious art galleries and museums in the United States, Europe and the Middle East

His work titled “Intersections” exhibited at the American Center in Islamabad in 1997 as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Pakistan-US ties has been widely appreciated.

‘Ibtida’ will be inaugurated on December 23, 2021 at 3 p.m. Entrance and parking at GATE 3, Lok Virsa.
