PropStore unveils the lineup for its June 2022 auction

PropStore is gearing up for its biggest movie and TV memorabilia auction yet. Taking place from June 21-24, the auction will feature elements from cinema’s most famous films, including Star Wars: A New Hope, Back to the futureand Thor. With over 1,800 rare relics, the PropStore Movie Memorabilia Auction promises to be every movie buff’s dream come true (and every bank account’s worst nightmare!).

The crown jewel of the event is an unreleased ILM ‘Red Leader’ X – Wing Starfighter Model miniature from the original 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope. This photo-matched pyrotechnic X-wing has an estimated value of between $500,000 and $1 million and is the only intact, fully finished X-wing model from the film’s production that exists today.

A bright, full-size replica of the DeLorean Time Machine will also be up for grabs, with prizes estimated to start at $150,000. The replica was used for Universal Studios promotional events in the 80s and 90s for the Back to the future trilogy.

Whoever holds this hammer will have the power of Thor… or Chris Hemsworth. Hemsworth’s stunt, Mjolnir Hammer, from the 2011 film Thor will be available to bid for an estimated price of $100,000-150,000. May the most worthy bidder win.

Although there is no Batmobile at auction, there is is a pair of Bat Boots worn by Michael Keaton in 1989 Batman film. Designed by Nike, these basketball-style crime-fighting shoes are valued between $20,000 and $30,000.

On the fourth day of the auction (Friday, June 24), PropStore will offer over 200 lots of comics and artwork. Fans can expect to find rare and original covers for a French edition of Batman: The Killing Joke by Brian Bolland, priced at $80,000-120,000. There will also be a copy of The Incredible Hulk #181″ which was Wolverine’s first comic appearance. The estimated price is $8,000-12,000.

These are just a few of a lot fandom-powered items that entrants can bid on. Auction lots can be viewed virtually or by appointment, and PropStore will be hosting live exhibits via social media prior to the event, giving collectors the opportunity to see the items up close and ask questions at the auction staff.
